Does God still speak today?
The Bible records God speaking audibly to people many times. Such as Prophet Moses, Joshua, Prophet Samuel, Prophet Isaiah and the Apostles etc.
(Exodus 3:14; Joshua 1:1; Judges 6:18; 1 Samuel 3:11; 2 Samuel 2:1;Job 40:1; Isaiah 7:3; Jeremiah 1:7 .
There is no biblical reason why God could not speak to a person audibly today if he does in the past.
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets..,Hebrews:1:1
Hundreds of times the Bible recorded God speaking, we have to remember that they occur over the course of 4,000 years of human history. God speaking audibly is the exception, not the rule because it is not everybody that hear God speaks audibly. He speak in many ways.
God does speak to people today. First, God speaks to us through His Word.. But not all Christians understand His language because their heart is full of life activities and luxuries.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.:.2 Timothy:3:16
In Isaiah 55:11 tells us,
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it...”
The Bible is God’s Word. Everything we need to know in order to be saved and live the Christian life. Second Peter 1:3 declares,
“His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness...”
B. God can also “speak” to us through events..
He can guide us through arranging our circumstances. And helps us to discern right from wrong through our consciences
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned..:1 Timothy:1:5.
God is in the process of conforming our minds to think His thoughts
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God..Romans:12:2
God allows events to occur in our lives to direct us, change us, and help us to grow spiritually .
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing...James:1:2-4.
More so, first Peter 1:6–7 tells us that “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials...
These have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed...”
If God were to speak today, His words would be in full agreement with what He has said in the Bible.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...John:1:1
God does not contradict Himself.
Stay blessed.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again...Luke:6:38
